Common errors and how to fix them

A quoted field is never closed
A value starts with a double quote but never ends with one. Find the odd quote, or double any quotes inside values ("").
Everything ends up in one column
The wrong delimiter was used. Choose Semicolon or Tab manually if auto-detect picked the wrong one.
Leading zeros or long IDs changed
They shouldn't β€” values like 007 and IDs too large to store exactly as a number (above 9,007,199,254,740,991) stay as text. If you need every value as text, untick 'Detect numbers & booleans'.
